It is insane this never came back, like it wasn't even replaced with a different item that had the same function. Because it's gone, we simply do not have an item in Smash that turns you invisible.

If I recall correctly this means that, in Special Smash, the Clear condition is the only one that currently cannot be caused by a regularly spawning item.

You know, if they wanted to bring the cloaking item function back, would there be any games with a cloaking device they could pull from thats already in smash or feasibly be in smash?

In terms of what's in Smash:
- Invisible Cap from Mario
- Magic Cape from Zelda
- Stealth Camo from Metal Gear
- Invisibility Potion from Minecraft

From outside of Smash, Active Camo from Halo is the only one coming to mind off the top of my head.
 
Yeah these are all good examples. It's just strange it never got replaced even though it's perfectly understandable why it was cut, since Nintendo obviously doesn't own Perfect Dark anymore.
 
The Invisibility Potion could have a little extra functionality where you can either just use it on yourself or you can throw it at someone else to turn them (and anyone else very near them) invisible to play off of making your opponent not be able to keep track of where they are on the stage.
 
I like the idea of the Vanish Box because if they bring back Event Mode there could be an event where you can only deal damage while having both the Metal and Vanish Boxes active and it's called "Collect the Caps..."
 
Without changing anything else, honestly just bring back Mario Tornado. It just feels the most appropriate given what Mario's supposed to be (a shoto). Also, if not his Melee down air, then make his down air into a ground pound.
 
Since today is the 20th anniversary of the DS, I wanted to shout out the characters I'd like to see who debuted on the DS.

So shout outs to Kyle Hyde, Ashley Robins, Chandelure...and Sawsbuck because he's my favorite.
 
Chandelure would be fun as hell. Pokken proved it.

Only one character I can think of I care for from the DS tho .. who i associate with the DS more than anyone else

I just finished my Order of Ecclesia playthrough on the Dominus collection earlier today. Didn't even intend to line that up with the DS' 20th anniversary.

Now seems to be as good a time as any to shill Shanoa

Still wish we got a smash bros game on the DS around 2009-2010, even if it wouldve been subpar

I'm imagining it being sprite-based but the stages are in 3D and it looks so cool in my head
 
I haven't gotten to Ecclesia yet but Shanoa is pretty so she should be in

Yesterday was also the SEGA Saturn's 30th anniversary so I think Akira Yuki and Sakura Shinguji should be in
