God

There is so much

Like god i don't even know where to begin
mon mothma's speech feels waaaaaay too real.

Episode 8, though, i think will live on for a very very very long time. Such an episode my god

last trio thoughts
MY BOY NEMIK WROTE THE REBEL MANIFESTO. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Dedra in a narkina-style prison is SO much better than her being dead.

Lot's f pieces off the board, but a surprising amount of characters survived this show. I really though mon mothma would be the only "survivor" and every other character would die. shows what i know.

Feel like that last arc was a little more chained to rogue one than the rest of the show. if episode 10 wasnt so strong it would easily be my least favorite trio

Golly what a season.

what a TRIUMPH of a show. That they were able to do so much with this one character and one story. amazing TV

Peak

- laughing that Luthen just Dracula -> Alucard'd his last name
- The confrontation with him and Dedra was amazing and him choosing to sacrifice himself was great, one of those times you actually root for the good guy to die rather than have the villains save his life so they can interrogate and torture him
- Kleya remains iconic
- K2 is always a treat.
- NEMIK'S MANIFESTOOOOOOOOOOO
- Partagaz offing himself in the meeting room was great, very Downfall esque moment.
- Dedra in a Narkina style prison is the perfect ending for her
- Bix living back on the farm planet with her kid and B is great and very bittersweet knowing what happens
- Some amazing cinematography and writing as usual
- Perrin really got with Sculdon's wife lmao, perfect
- Yo the whole credits goes on to the John Williams fanfare

It's all downhill from here on huh

- God poor Lonni, dude was an absolute godsend for the Rebellion and Luthen kills him. I understand why, but I see why the Rebel council hates him. Also LOTHCAT
- Dedra getting all theatric, having this rehearsed revenge speech... and Luthen just goes "naw im gonna kill myself get fucked". I feel the Dedra pre-Ghorman wouldve been more tactical, but shes trying to give herself the feeling of being in control again and meaning to Syril's death.
- Flashback Luthen and Kleya was great, loved the scene of the detonator on Naboo. Also Kleya having to do a Hitman mission on her own adopted father, damn.
- Krenic is so menacing here, which makes him getting absolutely shit on by Tarkin and Vader in Rogue One very satisfying
- K2 was funny but damn he fucked those guys up, using the Heert as a meat shield was gnarly. Also Partagaz's cover story delaying the reinforcements lol.
- Partagaz's last scene is probably one of my favorites in the whole series, he knows only at the end the truth of Nemiks words (which are now spread across the galaxy) and realizes that not only is he going to be killed/forced to kill himself by the system he upheld but that the system he put so much pride into is ultimately going to lose.
- Dedra's fate couldnt be more fitting, she sought to make herself more than her parents who were deemed criminals by the empire and then ends up in a prison herself. Love that it was simply her cavalier attitude towards acquiring classified information (which she used to locate axis in the first place) that ultimately was her downfall. Even if their was a prison break I don't even think she would escape, that would make her a rebel like Krenic said, she is locked in a prison both physically and mentally as she is bound to an ideological system that will offer her no fulfillment and ultimately consume her just like the people she oppressed.
- wish we got to see more of Perrin and Mon's daughter, but that little scene of him with Sculdon's wife and looking miserable did a lot.
- sad we didnt get to see more of Saw, casualties of having to condense things into 2 seasons and at least gets lots of love in other star wars stories.
- Cassian watering his plants before going on the mission 😭 I mean he was ready to die for the rebellion but at the same time he still wanted to live and cared for people despite how much the world had beat him down, He never knew he had a son. Also B2 is fine and Brasso's lie helped save the farming community which Bix can now live in.
- Kleya, Vel, and Wilmon surived. I honestly thought most of them would be dead. Makes sense that Kleya and Wilmon don't go on the rogue one unsanctioned mission to Scarif as they are both wounded and more support staff, and Vel I think is dedicating herself to rebel discipline and Mon. I really liked the little scene of her and mon at the rebel mess hall amongst the regular rebels.

So do y'all think Luthen showed Dedra the knife to stay in-character, or was that him grabbing his "escape plan"

I really think this is permanently going to ruin Star Wars for me because Andor just has so much *weight* to certain things.

like blasters in Andor arent star wars blasters. TIE fighters in Andor arent just ships. They're a threat that terrorizes the sky.

i hope those TIE fighter/x wing games are as good as people say. For similar reasons

I think it was to stay in character to stall while those chemicals completely destroy Kleya's radio system in the back and to be an escape plan

But yeah I get you, I watched Rogue One afterwards and the storm troopers felt a lot more like mooks, when they're used sparingly in Andor to drive home that they are fanatical special forces
