Video Game Book Club - Slay the Princess

more like can i offer multiple submissions or nah

like multiple games or just the one
One for now. The plan is to go through each game suggested, and I want to make sure that we can get to everyone's suggestions in a timely manner.

There are definitely multiple games I'll eventually recommend if this becomes a consistent, ongoing thing. But yeah, we don't want to drown in options when we're just starting.

Hello everyone! Suggestions will close tomorrow at 12pm PST!

While I'm here, what do we think about including last round's list of games in the voting pool, or do we want to move on without them?

We currently have 12 suggestions! With the former suggestions we'd have 19, which is more than enough to last us for a while!

I could go either way! I think we have a really strong lineup without them but I could also see honoring those older suggestions which is why I want to leave it up to y'all!

Please reply to this message with any thoughts or responses either way.

Don't see any reason not to bring over the older suggestions

Edit: Hell I think there's a strong argument to, at the bare minimum, bring AAI2 forward with the collection and the different translation it has. There's loads more to discuss in that one instance if some people use the Collection and others opt for the fan translation with the better names. And if you're bringing one of the older ones forward to this then it's only fair to bring the others over too tbh

One thing I gotta ask about AAI ? Isn't it kinda a story heavy sequel game in a story heavy series? feels like it might be a hard one to jump into depending on how much everyone played of the AA series, like myself who has only played the first 3 games.

Well, playing the first three games is the perfect point to jump in, because AAI1 and 2 take place right after the original trilogy.

we should at least do Layton

if @Bolderousness completes the game, we give him his score back

sounds easy to do so and thats a pretty good variety

if peeps want to remove some options i say after a few book through can just put things on a poll to see what goes onto a future one, no reason to remove for this one i say

For AAI you can play it removed from Ace Attorney and even AAI 1 because it does a great job catching players up to speed.

Phoenix is never even mentioned by name lol you'll be fine.

Even the 2nd game specifically? Just kinda find it odd that it's 2. Though I guess the collection includes both now

ya 2 only builds off 1

its hard to play 2 without playing 1. but their both pretty independnt from the main games

i don't think you need it back
it makes you super unique
its neat
Nah I've grown attached to it yeah
Also it'd be relaly funny if in the long run I somehow earn my reaction score being back to 0
